Carole Drost has been painting on location for over 40 years with oil, watercolor and pastel. Since moving to Ocala she has focused on painting the beautiful Florida landscape. She says "For me, the most pleasant way to spend a day is to be outside painting with the sun, the breeze, the smells and all that nature provides coming together to give the painting a feeling that comes only from being there."

Carole has taken workshops with Betty Schlemm, Tony Van Hasselt, Judy Betts, Albert Handell, Nita Engle, Mark Kreutz and Naomi Brotherton. And, she has traveled to plein air paint in Italy, Ireland, Alaska and the Bahamas, as well as throughout the USA.

Her paintings hang in private and corporate collections in various states as well as in two museums. She has demonstrated for several art clubs and continues to teach locally.
