Bill Westerman is a prolific artist who was trained at the Columbus College of Art and Design in Ohio. Many of his paintings are done alla prima en plein air. He is a three term past president of Worthington Area Art League. His work has been exhibited in several galleries and is found in collections in the USA, France, Germany, England, and Japan. As an Artist-in-Residence with the US Department of the Interior he painted the Florida Everglades in November of 2003. Also that year, Bill visited Japan lecturing, jurying art, critiquing, sketching, painting, and photographing. Over the years, he has taught numerous workshops in the Everglades, and organized local paint outs long before plein air became popular.
